The low Birth rate has become a serious issue in Japan_ The world’s most industrialized country

Japan is also called the land of the rising sun.

Japan is one of the most developed countries in Asia. Japan is famous in the world for its manufacturing services. It is one of the leading countries in the world. Japan had a great role in the second world war. Japanese were famous for their bravery and she was the only Eastern power in the second world war. Japan made a great loss to the USA by destructing Pearl Harbour. But it was the bad luck of Japan that the USA threw atomic blasts on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These majestic cities were ruined and Japan lost the war.

After the second world war, Japan took a shift and its people worked day and night. Japan brought democracy to the country. At least Japan succeeded in leading the world in technology. But Japan was involved in making the country strong so much that the Japanese forgot about their upcoming generations. Now Japan is facing great problems for its low birth rate.

Factors behind japan’s low birth rate:

There are various factors behind the low birth rate in Japan. The main reason behind the low birth rate is the least attitude of the Japanese towards marriage. Japanese youth is serious about their future and career that they do not prefer to marry. Japanese youth want to live in relationships without marriage. Some Japanese use unnatural relationships for their sexual wishes. Therefore, gay culture and lesbian has increased in Japan.

Japan has one of the oldest populations in the world. The people do not prefer to marry before age of forty. At the age of forty, they do not have so much reproductive power. So they can not produce children.

The effect of low birth rate:

This year’s low birth rate has created serious concerns in Japan. The schools and many institutions are closed due to low birth rates. The workforce of Japan has decreased, therefore it is affecting the economy of japan. The Japanese economy is based on industry but a shortage of workforce is affecting the production of Japan. So, the economy of Japan is badly affected by the low birthrate in the country.

Measurements of the Japanese government:

The Japanese government is doing measures to address the issue of the low birth rate. They have realized the importance of the workforce. So they have taken steps to solve the issue of the low birth rate.

Affordable Childcare:

The Japanese government is providing affordable childcare to rear children for couples. The government has opened new childcare centers for raising newborn babies. The Japanese government is giving subsidies to parents for bringing up their children.

Work-life balance:

The government is encouraging companies and firms to improve the work-life balance of employees. In addition to it, the government is also encouraging those companies which are creating a supportive environment for mothers.

Encouraging foreign workers:

The low birth rate is influencing a lot the economy of Japan. The workforce in Japan has decreased, Therefore, the government is making policies to invite foreign workers and students to meet their workforce requirements. Japan is opening its immigration policies to attract foreign workers.

Raising awareness:

The Japanese government has started to raise awareness among the people to become aware of the importance of children. Through this campaign, the government is telling the benefits of having more children.
