Microsoft Windows supports the text and source code editor Notepad++. The ability to work with many open files in a single window is supported via tabbed editing. The C postfix increment operator is where the name of the product originates.
Notepad++ is offered as open-source software. The project was initially hosted on SourceForge.net, where it has had over 28 million downloads.  and was twice named the Best Developer Tool winner of the SourceForge Community Choice Award. From 2010 to 2015, the project was housed on TuxFamily [fr]; as of 2016, Notepad++ is housed on GitHub.The Scintilla editing component is used by Notepad++.
